The study assessed a two-week series of afternoon workshops that utilized robotic tools and activities to teach seventh-grade students about science at Alfonso Integrated High School. This academic innovation was carried out to provide these public high school students with the latest technology in learning science. In line with education, the robotics program offers wide classroom activities that encourage learners to become motivated and engaged than getting them to stop working and move on to the rest of the school day can be a challenge – a good problem to have.  Although the use of the robotic tools in the present context had met some challenges, its successful implementation was contingent on the professional and personal attitudes of teachers towards robotics as an added form of educational technology for young learners. There is a need for more interventions involving robotic tools to further ascertain their roles in developing among students’ science-related knowledge and skills that they need to survive in the 21st century and beyond.
